Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress that appears mainly in Tamil as well as Telugu films in addition to some Malayalam films. She received the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri as the lead character in the Telugu Film Mahanati (2018). Also, she has received three SIIMA Awards as well as the Filmfare Award South. Keerthy is the child of producer G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her career began in early 2000s when she was a child actor. She returned to the film industry after completing her studies in fashion. Her debut lead performance in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy started working on films that weren't Malayalam in the year 2015. In addition, she signed to appear in numerous Tamil films simultaneously. She released her first film, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015 alongside Vikram Prbhu. The film did not turn out to be a success at the box-office. In order to fit in larger projects, she was forced to cancel projects she'd already begun working on. They comprised Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. She worked in two films in rapid succession with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also one of the main actors on Prabhu's Thodari. The film has been delayed since 2015, with speculation of a release date after September in 2020, under the name change to Janakitho Nenu. The film's premiere was in the film Nenu Sailaja which starred the actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was cast opposite Vijay on screen in Bairavaa by Bharathan the film, which debuted on January 17, 2017.
