April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player American she is part of the elite number of women who been awarded medals at more than one Olympics. Alix Kallineman is set to compete alongside April Ross Tokyo to win her third gold in the coming days. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic Gold. As she turns 39, it could be Ross' last chances to secure an Olympic gold medal. Still confident nevertheless. Ross Born in 1982, and grew up within Costa Mesa California with her sister and parents, began participating in sports at the Newport Harbor High school. Ross participated in various athletics while she was at Newport Harbor High School. As well as indoor volleyball, she played basketball and ran track while a pre-professional athlete. She was definitely a one of a kind in her other sport. At the time of her high school volleyball season According to her university information, she played as middle blocker, outside settingter, and hitter. She was awarded The Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. The skills she showed in volleyball also earned her an Orange County Athlete of the Award in the year 2000. Ross and Klineman have been working together from 2017. But, Ross was already an established athlete in the scene of beach volleyball before this pairing. She's won big tournaments twice with different partners. One of them is a legend in the world of volleyball. Between 2007 until 2013, she was a team along with Jennifer Kessy who more recently worked as Klineman's coach. Along together with Kessy, Ross won an Olympic Title in 2009, while racing internationally. They took home a Silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor were the winners, beating them to it. The fate of the matter was that Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner after May-Treanor's retirement. They were awarded the bronze medal at the beach volleyball competition in the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her high school after she finished the high school she attended. The time she spent at USC was awe-inspiring. In 2000, as a freshman she earned Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman of the Year recognition and earned an All-American. Her Trojans also reached the Final Four. Her sophomore season was the year she experienced a terrible personal loss but still recognized as an All-American. In her last two years, she took the Trojans to the top of the mountain and won consecutive national titles. She was a great volleyball player. She won the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the college's top female volleyball player. Ross went on to study internationally-related studies at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the opportunity to witness her daughter turn into a beach volleyball superstar. Ross's mother died in 2001 when Ross was still in the midst of being a USC sophomore. It was discovered that she had breast cancer. But, she will always remember her deceased parent close and close. Margie has always been a source of inspiration for her on and off the beach.
